Can we believe in God's love?

Believing that we are loved by God is one of the most challenging parts of our faith. We know our sin and failure. And yet God loves us. Oh to have that courage and peace. 

Scripture
John 13:31-34
When he had left, Jesus said, "Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him.(If God is glorified in him,) God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him at once. My children, I will be with you only a little while longer. You will look for me, and as I told the Jews, 'Where I go you cannot come,' so now I say it to you. I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. 

Prayer
Lord, I have to admit that sometimes it's difficult to believe in your love for me. I know that I'm a sinner. I so often fall short of your expectations of me. And yet you love me and want to be with me for all eternity. Help me to accept your love.  Amen.
