Jesus sums up in a simple formula what a Christian is
called to do:
1. Be merciful 2. Don't judge 3. Don't condemn 4. Be
magnanimous. This is to be the tone of our actions
as Christians.Simple, no?Well, it’s better to have a plan or map when
you set out on a journey.
Scripture
Luke Chapter: 6
Jesus
said: 36 Have pity on others, just as your
Father has pity on you.
Don't judge others, and God won't
judge you. Don't be hard on others, and God won't be
hard on you. Forgive others, and God will forgive
you. 38 If you give to others, you
will be given a full amount in return. It will be
packed down, shaken together, and spilling over into
your lap. The way you treat others is the way you
will be treated.
Prayer
Lord, sometimes you can seem complicated. There are so many scholars telling me what
you mean. In
my day to day attempt to be a person of faith, I
have so many distractions.
I don’t think
about you and what you want me to do.
Help me keep
it simple.Help me to be merciful, non-judgmental or
condemning. Let
me be magnanimous in my giving to you and others.
Amen
